The museum building is itself one of the exhibits. The western part was built in 1382 as the seat of the chapter. The older, eastern part, dates back to the 10th century and was originally a granary, colloquially called the grain box. Visitors learn about the origins of San Candido, experience the everyday life of the canons, and discover the richly decorated chapter house and the valuable artefacts.
