The sculptures are from various churches, such as the abandoned Chiesa di San Maurizio and above all from the collegiate church. After the latter was restored to its original Romanesque state in 1969, there was no longer any room for Baroque figures and altars. The processional statues, which were once important parts of the many supplication processions and passion plays, are now also found in the museum.
