On behalf of the municipality of San Candido, the Board of Trustees preserves the archive of the Oskar Klose photo studio in San Candido.
There were two Oskar Klose: Father Oskar Karl Heinrich and son Oskar Ferdinand. Oskar Karl Heinrich was born in Silesia in 1884 and came to San Candido before 1920, where he worked as a photographer with his own photo studio. As a German citizen, he was meant to emigrate to the German Reich shortly afterwards, but in the event, this did not happen. His son Oskar Ferdinand was born in San Candido in 1932. He continued his father's profession and studio, and soon became the official photographer of the municipality of San Candido. Oskar Ferdinand was granted Italian citizenship in 1985.
